Obituary of Martha Elisabeth Nixson

It is with great sorrow that the family of Elisabeth Nixson announces her passing on Friday, July 3, 2009 at the age of 98 years. Elisabeth was born on March 8, 1911 in Saxon, Germany. She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate of seventy-one years John; granddaughters, Laura (Wayne Porterfield) Banister of Okotoks, AB, Krista (Jeff) Leitl of Calgary; great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Raymond, Kira, and Zakary; son-in-law Barry Hatton of Armstrong, BC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elisabeth was predeceased by her daughter Daryl in July 1992. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
