Obituary of Daniel Dan Jonathan Ryan

Dan Ryan of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the age of 51 years. Dan was born in Montreal on April 3, 1958, moved to Calgary in 1976 and has since resided here. Dan was an avid lover of all sports. He lived on the golf course during the summer, and the hockey arena in the winter. He coached his daughters for fifteen years, along with many other softball players, to many provincial and national championships. Dan was a natural leader, which led to a prominent identity in the Information Technology world. He was an amazing father, leader, boss, and a wonderful friend to all who crossed his path. Dan is lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Stephanie and Kristen (Fiance’ Jason Grierson), their mother Tracy Ryan, Joanne Major and her daughter Rachel, his mother Barbara and one brother Michael, all of Calgary. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. Dan was predeceased by father Jim and sister Janice Ryan-Lee. “ Don’t die with your music still in you” his music was on full blast.
