Obituary of Sarah Lillian Fisher

Sarah Lillian Fisher passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Sarah was born in the Vulcan area, however she lived most of her life in Calgary, where she and her husband Bill raised their family. Sarah displayed a great sense of faith and devotion to her church, Richmond Hill Baptist, and was blessed to have her family and friends to share her life with. Sarah’s faith has left a lifelong legacy for her family, for which we’re eternally grateful. Sarah will be dearly missed by her three sons, Rod, David, Craig (Tina) Fisher; two grandsons, Tyler Fisher of Calgary and Scott (Ricki) Fisher of Toronto, ON; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; and some very close life-long friends. She was predeceased by her husband Bill of fifty-six years in 2008; two sisters, Helen Cockwill and Jeanne Graham of Vulcan, AB; three brothers, John and George Christie of Vulcan, and Charles Christie of Calgary; and by a niece and nephew of Cold Lake, AB. A private family Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery prior to the Memorial Service. The Memorial Services will be held at Richmond Hill Baptist Church (7251 Sierra Morena Boulevard S.W.) on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., Dr. Shane Spannegal officiating.
