Obituary of Johannes John Purdmaa

Johannes (John) Purdmaa of Calgary passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009 at the age of 86 years. John died peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in the presence of loved ones. John was born in Estonia. He met his beloved wife Senta in wartime and they were married in England before coming to Canada in 1951. Here they raised three children. John worked at Field Aviation for 36 years before retiring. A highly skilled craftsman and perfectionist, John was passionate about rebuilding cars. A strong but gentle man, John will be lovingly remembered by all those who knew him.John is survived by his children Tom (Jolanta) Purdmaa and Ellen (Larry) Murphy.
