Obituary of Pierre Louis Bovon
On Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the age of 64, Pierre Bovon passed away in his home with family and friends by his side after a year-long struggle with cancer. He was the devoted husband of Rita and the proud father of Noelle, Anne, Michelle and Cedric. Having been born and raised in Vevey, Switzerland, he will be returning home to rest with his parents, Armand and Helene, and will be closer to the rest of his immediate family including his sister (Lise), brother-in-law (Alain), niece (Gaelle), husband (David) and grand-nephew (Thibaud).
Pierre had an unwavering loyalty to his company (MAN Turbo/Sulzer) and true passion for his work which lead to a 42 year career with the same organization. He shared his love of skiing and hiking with his four children and held sailing and classical music close to his heart.
A Celebration of Pierre’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation donate.albertacancer.ca or to the Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
n living memory of Pierre Bovon, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Park Memorial Chapel.
