Obituary of Sydney Roy Anderson

Sydney (Syd) Roy Anderson beloved husband of Jean of Calgary passed away on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the age of 68 years. Syd was born in Saltcoats, SK on August 14, 1940, the only child to proud parents Herb and Gertie Anderson. Syd married Jean Prosko on July 8, 1961 and they resided in Saskatoon for many years until moving to Calgary in 1977. He worked for Oakite Products as a sales representative and manager for over thirty years before retiring 2003. Syd was an avid sportsman and fan. Downhill skiing became a particular passion after moving near the mountains. He loved spending time at his cabin in the Kootenays and vacationing with his family. Syd was an honest, hard working, highly ethical person who was a devoted family man. Besides his loving wife Jean, Syd is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kim and Jeff Campbell; son-in-law James Shymka; grandchildren Aidan and Tavish Campbell, as well as Will, Alex, Natalie, and Andrew Shymka. He will also be lovingly remembered by all of his extended family. Syd was predeceased by his daughter Shellie Shymka and his parents Herb and Gertie Anderson.
