Obituary of Anna Rosenberg

Anna Rosenberg, of Calgary, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas Rosenberg and will be loved, missed and remembered by her sons Douglas and Paul, daughters-in-law Lina and Michelle, grandchildren Mathew, Daniel, Emma and Noah, and many other family and friends. Anna will be remembered for her sense of humour, kindness, and unflagging determination in the undertaking of any endeavour. As a farm wife in rural Alberta, Anna knew few luxuries and many hardships, all of which she accepted gladly and with tremendous strength of character. She took great pride in her ability to not only provide a great home for her family, but in her ability to contribute to any and all facets of farm life. She will especially be remembered for always embracing visitors to her home and creating loving and wonderful meals at a moment’s notice. An intimate family service will take place on June 20. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, www.heartandstroke.ca. The family wishes to thank the caring doctors, nurses and staff of the Rockyview Hospital, Unit 46, for her great care. In living memory of Anna Rosenberg, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES.
