Obituary of Norris Lawrence Wood

Mr. Norris Wood passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the age of 98 years. Norris was born in Guernsey, SK on June 8, 1911. He was active for many years in curling and served as President of the North Hill Curling Club and the Southern Alberta Curling Association. Norris will be lovingly remembered by his son in-law Ron; daughter-in-law Jo-Ann of West Vancouver; two daughters, Karen (Chester) Smith of Calgary and Janice (Don) Kroeker of Carstairs; two sisters, Merle MacLeod of Calgary and Phyllis Hunter of Victoria; six grandchildren, Todd Kroeker, Warren (Susan) Kroeker, Michael Smith, Ken (DeeDee) Smith, Grant (Angela) Wood and Erin (Kevin) Ronan; and ten great-grandchildren. Norris was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Ione, in 2001. We love you Dad. Rest in Peace.
