Obituary of Harold Gordon Smith

Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his daughter & son-in-law Bev & Bert Furlong; son & daughter-in-law Graham & Judy; grandchildren Chris (Cara), Jeff (Christie), & Erin; great-grandchildren Mason, Jada, Kaiya, Braeden, Colton & Taivan; brother Fred (Addy); sister Audrey (Jim) Harris; sisters-in-law Joan Anderson & Isabel Smith, & many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Madalen, his wife of 61 years in July 2008 & grandson David, 1979. Gordon served overseas with the RCAF. Upon return he completed his University of Alberta education with a BA & MD. He practiced in Maple Creek, Sask. for over 40 years. He enjoyed his profession and served on many provincial & national medical committees, and was a life member of the Canadian Medical Association. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Rotary Club & Legion, as well as a town councillor. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
