Obituary of Margaret Easton Baird

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Easton Baird (nee Buchanan) announces her passing, on Friday, May 29, 2009, four days after her 88th birthday. Margaret was born on May 25, 1921 in Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to Canada with Bill and Alan in 1955. The Baird family moved to Calgary in 1961 and she resided her until her passing. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Bill; and her children, Alan (Marg) and Anne (Randy). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kevin, Murray and Kelsey; her sister Sadie; brothers Jim and Robert (Betty); and a large extended family. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Sarah and James Buchanan, brothers James, Willie and George and sisters Katy, Jenny and Betty. A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church (4612 Varsity Drive N.W.) on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
