Obituary of Gerrit Hendrik Terhove

Gerrit Terhove, beloved husband of Ann Terhove of Calgary, passed away doing what he loved on the links on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the age of 75 years. Gerry was born July 19, 1933 in Klarenbeek, Netherlands. He and Ann were married on September 21, 1956. Gerry worked in construction throughout his career as a drywaller and later as a project manager. He was very community-oriented, volunteering for Meals-on-Wheels, Universal Golf Association and the Douglasdale Golf Course. Above all else, Gerry was dedicated to his Lord, his family and his church. He often visited those in hospital and assisted with church functions wherever needed. Besides his loving wife Ann, Gerry is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Agnes; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nina and Yves Gagnon, Carol and Tim Bergshoeff; ten grandchildren, Christina, Stephen, Alysha, Melissa, Mike, Paul, Stephanie, Will, Leah, and Brandon; and three great-granddaughters, Teghan, Taylor and Hailey, all of Calgary. He was predeceased by his parents Martha and Hendrikus; and sister Jenny.
