Obituary of Mark Henri Francis Gourdeau

Mark Gourdeau of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the age of 66 years after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Mark was born November 10, 1942 in Quebec. Mark served his country and was Past President and active member of the Chapelhow Legion Branch #284. His greatest passion in life was to go fishing and to joke and socialize with friends and family. He was a generous and loving man, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Mark is survived by his step daughter Susan (James) Mallin of Toronto, step son Ray Gurrie of Calgary, mother Denyse Bedard, Aunt Monique and Uncle Luc all of Quebec, three grandchildren, Daisy Mallin, Daniel and Roy Gurrie as well as numerous nephews and millions of friends. He was predeceased by his sister Louise and his father Jack Blewett. A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Chapelhow Branch #284 (606-38th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, June 5, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
