Obituary of Harvey Elwood Dyck

Harvey Elwood Dyck, beloved husband of Teresa of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the age of 73 years. Born in Meadow Lake, SK, Harvey came to Calgary in 1963 to pursue his career in printing. He was passionate about all sports and particularly enjoyed baseball, hockey, and bowling. Harvey was the first person in Alberta to bowl a perfect game in 10 Pin. He was a committed husband, dad and grandpa. Besides his loving wife Teresa, Harvey is survived by his daughter Cheryl Dyck; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Colleen, Pete, Colin and Stephanie: six grandchildren, Jordyn, Mackenzie, Nicole, Matthew, Marissa, and Colby, all of Calgary; sister Gladys Fehr, of Meadow Lake SK; three brothers, Alvin (Ruby) of Kelowna, BC, Jim (Pauline) of 100 Mile House, BC, and Marvin (Monica) of Kamloops, BC. Harvey was predeceased by five brothers, Ed, Elmer, Richard, Walter, and Murray, and a sister Doreen Follack. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive NE) on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45th Street S.E.) on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
