Obituary of Natalie Christine FitzPatrick

Natalie Christine FitzPatrick beloved daughter, niece, cousin, sister, granddaughter and friend, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the age of 22 years. Natalie was born in Calgary on April 7, 1987 at the Holy Cross Hospital, and resided in Calgary until 1991 when she moved to Dewinton, AB with her parents Craig and Nancy. She went to school at the Big Rock School in Okotoks, AB until grade five and then continued her learning at Edison School where she excelled academically and developed many close and enduring friendships. Natalie graduated with honours from Lord Beaverbrook High School in Calgary at the age of sixteen and then began her studies at the University of Calgary where she developed a passion for biological anthropology. She had just completed her Bachelor of Science honours degree and thesis in that field. Natalie loved to learn and work in the lab doing research under the direction of her professor Dr. Anne Katzenberg. Natalie’s academic accomplishments were numerous beginning in elementary school and continuing on through university. Nat developed grace and poise at an early age from many long hours of dance class where she studied jazz, tap, and ballet. She also loved to read, do crosswords, hike, go to the gym, and spend time with her friends. Natalie will always be remembered for her brilliant wit and for her love of life’s finer things, including gourmet dining, exotic vacations, shopping for anything Prada, and diet Pepsi. Sleep peacefully our dearest angel.
