Obituary of Filiberto Stante

Albert, beloved brother and uncle to a large family, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Foothills Medical Centre. Albert was born in Fossacesia Marina, Chieti, Italy. At the age of seventeen years, he immigrated to Canada with his brother Luigi. They settled in Calgary and Albert became an employee with the City of Calgary until his retirement. Albert is survived by Adelmo (Annina) Stante, Luigi (Anna) Stante and Angela Stante-Pacione and their families in Calgary; Alberina Stante-Angelone and family in Guelph, ON; Maria Stante-Caravaggio and Tonino (Nicoletta) Stante and their families in Fossacesia, Italy; as well as many other nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
