Obituary of Carl David Payne

After a courageous battle with cancer, Carl passed away quietly at the Southwood Care Centre in his 68th year. Carl is survived by his children, Danica Marshall (Scott), Martin Payne, Pamela Payne, and Bryce Payne (Sarah). He was also a loving “Papa” to grandsons, Duncan and Jayden. Carl also leaves behind his mother Elda Payne and sister Deloris Payne, both of Warsaw, ON; and his sister Shirley Sexsmith (Erle) of Oshawa, ON. Carl was predeceased by his first wife Sharon Payne (nee Doherty) in December 1982 and his father Clarence in May 1995. A Gathering for family and friends will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #288 (508 – 3rd Avenue S.E., Airdrie) on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
