Obituary of Frank Currie

Frank Currie beloved husband of Maureen Currie of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the age of 86 years. Frank was born in England, served with the Royal Air Force during WWII. Following his service Frank and Maureen immigrated to Calgary in 1947. He worked for the CPA and later at the CPR Ogden Shops as a Machinist, retiring in 1987. Frank will be remembered for his inventive mind, quick wit and corny jokes. His grandchildren will always remember him for the active role he played in entertaining them. Besides his loving wife Maureen of 65 years, Frank is survived by his children and their spouses, Maureen (Jim) Huck, Sheila Rivers, Irene (Robert) Park, Ron Currie, Anne Burgess (Kevin McCartney) and Joan (Joe) Rainey; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sister Renee Tonner of England. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. James’ Catholic Church (5504 – 20th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
