Obituary of Olive Elsie Tebb
Olive Tebb of Airdrie, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the age of 87 years.
Olive was born March 31, 1922 in Laverna, Saskatchewan and raised in the Esther district. The family moved to Airdrie in the early 1940’s, and Olive later attended the Olds College. Olive met Cliff Tebb of Airdrie and they were married in 1944. Olive and Cliff farmed in the Airdrie district for many years raising a family of three children. They retired in 1980 and made their home on an acreage at Croxford Estates. She was an active member of her community, participating in the local fair and won many awards for her embroidering, baking and canned goods. She loved her acreage and was very proud of her home and yard landscaping. Olive’s greatest passion was to entertain her family and friends. She was always certain to be sure everyone sampled some of her cooking (especially her homemade Buns). She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends.
Olive is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Sandra Tebb; three grandsons, Greg and Lisa Tebb, and their daughter Reagan; Brian and Jodi Tebb and their children, Jake, Kolt and Drew; Barry and Haley Tebb; one granddaughter, Shannon Tebb; brother, Ray (Doreen) Trevor and brother-in-law, Ken Brooks as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Cliff (1997), son Donald (1997) and daughter Marilyn(1966), parents Cecil and Elsie Habberfield; brothers, Gordon (Katherine), Roy (Annie) and Howard, sisters, Claire (Bob) Wrathall, Lorraine Brooks and Marjorie Habberfield.
