Obituary of Margaret Frisken Fochuk

Margaret Frisken Fochuk, beloved wife of the late Fred Fochuk of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with health issues at the age of 70 years. Margaret was born on April 5, 1939 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She came to Canada in 1960 and came directly to Calgary to be with her extended family. On September 3, 1965 Fred and Margaret were married. Margaret was a long time employee of Pacific 66 and Petro- Canada and helped organize and sing in the Carol Group. She was the President of the Social Committee and then during retirement became a Lifetime Honorary Member of the Petro-Canada Alumni Association. Margaret is survived by brothers Angus (Wendy) of Calgary, Bruce (Elizabeth) of Edinburgh, Scotland and brother and sister-in-law, Bill (Mary) Fochuk. She is also survived by her best friend Roy Shelley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was recently predeceased by her loving husband Fred, father and mother James and Joan Miller, twin sister Jean and brother George.
