Obituary of Joyce Thomas

Beloved mother of Louise (Bruce) and Lorraine (Patrick); cherished grandmother of Robert, David, Jessica (Tim), and Joshua (Natasha); and sister of Thyra, Joyce’s deep love for family, friends and life brought joy to all who know her. Joyce was predeceased by her husbands, George Drewes and Harry Thomas, and her brother, Charles Bell. A trained classical pianist, Joyce delighted in entertaining friends and family, hiking, skiing, bridge and golf. She worked as a dietitian at the Calgary General Hospital. Joyce was a longtime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (3003 – 28th Street S.E.) on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
