Obituary of Jane Heather Pamela Asgar-Deen

ASGAR-DEEN – Jane Pamela (nee Cham-a-Koon) February 4, 1924 – May 10, 2009 Mrs. Jane Pamela Asgar-Deen (nee Cham-a-Koon), beloved wife of the late George M. Asgar-Deen of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Jane was born February 4, 1924 in British Guiana, South America and came to Canada on July 1, 1979. Jane is survived by her loving children, Jeanette Wong of Edmonton, Kenneth and Shakeela, Jack, Michael and Janine, Ruby and Enric Pequeno, all of Calgary, Mary Ann and Hoover Young of Edmonton, George Jr., Teresa and Kenrick Persaud, son-in-law Jerry Wong, all of Calgary; grandchildren, Gia and Wally, Nasha, Terrence and Michele, Ryan and Liz, Michelle and Dom, Andre, Manoel, Andrew, Stephen, Kevin, Darren, Sean, and David; and great grandson William. Jane is also survived by her sisters, Sein-Sein Foo and Stella Leow; brother Winston Cham-a-Koon, brother-in-law Jamaladin of Guyana; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 – 19th Avenue N.W.) on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 – 19th Avenue N.W.) on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow in St. Joseph’s Section at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
