Obituary of Gertrude Mullin

MULLIN – Gertrude (Gertie ) June 28, 1915 – May 5, 2009 Gertrude Mullin of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the age of 93 years. Gertie was born June 28, 1915 in Rapid City, MB. She met the love of her life, Henry while working at the Bakery in Swan River, MB. They were married in 1937 and enjoyed fifty-eight wonderful years together. Gertie and Henry came to Calgary in 1961 where they made many new friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends, for her love of life and laughter. Gertie is survived by her loving sons Allan (Nancy), Terry (Ute), and Ian (Joan); daughter Kim (Bruce); daughter-in-law Carole; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, sons Birkett and Arnold. A Memorial Service will be held at Central United Church (131 – 7th Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
