Obituary of Jarret D0c Ewanek

Jarret Ewanek passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009 at the age of 40 years in Clarkston, MI. Jarret graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in Calgary in 1987, then went on to pursue his education at Northrop University in Los Angeles, CA. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Aeorspace Engineering in 1991. He then chose to pursue his career in Southern California where he resided until August of 2008 when he landed a job with Gibbs Technology in Auburn Hills, MI as a Senior Product Design Engineer. One of Jarret’s greatest victories was building his own Gravity Formula One Car and becoming the World Speed Record Holder. Jarret was proud to be affiliated with the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE), the Sigma Gamma Tau-Society of Aerospace Engineering and was a member of Team Dreggs Street Luge. Jarret participated in the 1998 ESPN Extreme Games in San Diego, CA, as well as the Playstation Extreme Games in Australia. Jarret "D0c" will always be remembered for his huge heart, his generosity, kindness, and eagerness to help those around him. Jarret is survived by his beloved parents, Barbara and Maurice Ewanek.
