Obituary of Billy Jason Billy Jack

It is with great sadness that we the family of Billy Jason “Billy Jack” Peacemaker-Gavel announces his call home to our Creator on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the age of 37 years. Billy was a loving caring person with a big heart, open to a lot of people he met up with. He also had a kind soft beautiful voice with his music. He will be dearly missed by his father Harvey Peacemaker (Catherine); two sisters Harvina (Gary) Red Crow and Little Bit (Al) Peacemaker; two brothers Harvey (boots) Peacemaker Jr. and Eric Peacemaker; three nephews Tuffy, Rambert (Dannette) and Martin (Leah); four nieces BJ (Kelly), Casey (Gerald), Alabama and Jamie; and his special friend Vicky Bright. He also leaves behind his extended families of Peacemaker, Calf, Brass, White Eagle, Many Bears, White Bull, Sun Walk, McMaster, Spring Chief, Kipp, Water Chief, Right Hand, Pretty Young Man, One Gun, Solway, Medicine Shield and A Young Man; his Band, and many friends. He was predeceased by his mother Lorriane; sisters Anita “Hot Stuff” and Vivian; brother Merlin; nephews Kelly and Jason Red Crow; Sonnie Weasel Child; niece Lorraine Horse Fall; cousins Linda Brass, Gregory Right Hand, Homer Black Horse; grandparents Mike & Elizabeth Peacemaker, May & Peter Calf, and Nat Owl Child; Uncles and Aunties Alvin & Donna Calf, Irvin & Clara Calf, Marie Calf, Marlene Calf, Albert Calf, Gary & Larry Owl Child, Michael Peacemaker and Rita Brass. Wake Service will be held at Siksika Community Centre (Siksika Nation, AB) on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery.
