Obituary of Georgia Jean Savage

Georgia Jean Savage, beloved wife of Alfred of Calgary, has left us after a very short illness, to be in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 1, 2009 at the age of 80 years. Besides her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Alfred, Georgia leaves behind her five children, Michael (Dawn), Eric (Sonya), Reggie (Wayne), Carrie (Len), LJ (Donna); nine wonderful grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Marylou (Ron) & Nancy; and her many close, numerous friends. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1. A Celebration of Georgia’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., Springbank United Church (250011 Range Road 33). Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to thank all for the support we have received from our many friends and neighbours. The compassionate care received at the Foothills hospital, and the Tom Baker Centre, and especially the loving care and support given to us by the Home Care, Palliative Care staff out of Cochrane. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, Memorial tributes in honour of Georgia may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
