Obituary of Marjorie Gray

The family of Marjorie Gray, are deeply saddened to announce that she passed away on April 27th, 2009 after a long period of declining health. “Auntie Marjorie” as she is known to everyone, was a kind and gentle soul, who spent her whole life being helpful to all around her. She loved children and enjoyed reading and entertaining them at the Bethany Care Centre in Airdrie, where she has spent the last 20 years of her life. Margie loved to volunteer and spent endless hours selling raffle tickets to anyone who crossed her path. The proceeds from her sales went to buying the Bethany Care Bus. She was musically gifted and spent many hours entertaining the residents and staff at her keyboard. Marjorie is survived by her two sisters Edith Poole of Victoria, B.C. and Veronica (Ronnie) Northcott of Airdrie; one nephew; seven nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her brothers-in-law Howard Poole and Earl Northcott. Funeral Services will be held at Airdrie United Church (212 – 1st Avenue N.E., Airdrie, AB) on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery. Her family is very grateful to all of the staff at Bethany Care Centre for all of the loving care given to her over the years, also for the care and concern of Dr. Botha.
