Obituary of Albert Pearce

Al Pearce of Calgary, beloved husband to Audrey, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2009, at the age of 76 years, after a brief battle with cancer. Al devoted himself to the service of others, whether through his career with the R.C.M.P, his law practice, Rotary, as a mentor, friend, father, or even as a stranger. He was an innovative entrepreneur driven by endless curiosity and energy. Al was extremely proud of his service through Rotary and enjoyed perfect attendance for thirty-five years, interrupted only by his first battle with cancer twenty-five years ago. Al is lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Audrey; sons, Andrew and daughter-in-law Lorna Saunders, Craig and daughter-in-law Kirsten; daughters, Gayle and son-in-law Malcolm Brekkie, Roanna Rude, He is also lovingly remembered by six grandchildren who brought him much joy, Kaila and Craig Rude, Ceci and Maddie Brekkie, and Declan and Griffin Pearce. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Colin Rude in 2008.
