Obituary of Margaret Ellen MacLeod

Margaret Ellen MacLeod passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2009, at the age of 54 years. Ellen moved to Calgary from her Ottawa birthplace in 1989. At 15, she won a ballet scholarship to the Banff School of Fine Arts. When she was 16, Ellen won a European art scholarship. She studied art at the University of San Miguel, Mexico when she was 20. Her artistic abilities were extraordinary. Ellen was a beautiful, gentle, talented woman, who will never be forgotten. Ellen is survived by her mother, Margaret; sister, Laura LaFortune; and her brothers, Bruce and Randy. She was predeceased by her father Everett.
