Obituary of Leonard Bowman M.C. Robertson

Leonard Bowman Robertson, (Military Cross), husband of Edna Robertson, of Calgary, Alberta, and formerly of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, April 19, 2009, at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife, the former Edna E. Bell; one daughter, Janet Champion (John), of Calgary, Alta.; two sons, Leonard B. Robertson (Laysha), of Delta, B.C. and Ian D. Robertson, of Edmonton, Alta.; one sister, Louise Bongard, of Toronto, Ont.; four grandchildren, Richard & Michael (Deja) Robertson and Timothy Champion & Barbara(Dave)Hyciek; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Roy W. Robertson; one sister, Ocenia Robertson; one brother, James I. Robertson. A Celebration of Len’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral service with interment will take place in Miramichi (Chatham), New Brunswick at a later date.
