Obituary of Sofia Kanjee

Sofia Zara Kanjee passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the tender age of 5 years old. My Sassy Sister by Ameera Kanjee Sofia Kanjee is 5 years old. When she runs, her silky black hair boings up at the bottoms. Afterwards, she glosses her lips up, smudging it here and there. Sofie is happy to gear up and go skating or tobogganing. She fears bugs, especially bumble bees. She has a huge family but she is still the youngest of them all. Her family travels a lot. My sister’s favourite colour is red because it represents spaghetti with tomato sauce…which just happens to be her favourite food. She loves her family and loves helping them too. Sofia is a very kind and generous girl and will always be. We love her deeply. Sofia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving parents, Amyn and Farah; siblings, Ahmad, Ameera and Hafeez; devoted grandparents, (Nani, Nana, Dadi); and many loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24th, 2009 at 11:50 a.m. at the Ismaili Jamat Khana & Centre (4623 – 11 Street NE). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Sofia can be made directly to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, AB T3B 6A8 (403-955-8818).
