Obituary of Leota Ruth Rash

Leota Rash, of Calgary, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Leota grew up on a farm in Alberta. She married Tom and together they went to India as missionaries. Four children and 21 years later, they returned and settled in Calgary. Besides much volunteer work for family and community, Leota used her creative talents working at the Bethany Care Center. Later she sold real estate for thirteen years. Leota enjoyed an active retirement for the last several years. She was gentle, kindhearted, accepting and loving. Naturally she was loved by many. Leota walked everyday, enjoying even the small natural wonders of God’s world. Leota is survived by her loving family: Tom, husband of sixty-for years; children, Steve, Sheryl, Karen, and Rod; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister Blanche, and brother Joe.
