Obituary of Ronald SINGER

It is with deep sadness the family of Ronald Singer announce his passing on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Ron proudly served his country in the navy from 1941 to 1945. After he was discharged in Calgary, Ron purchased a used gravel truck and began his trucking operation, R. Singer Trucking Ltd. Ron and his beloved wife May Helen (Toole) worked together to build their business in Calgary for thirty years. After losing his wife to Multiple Sclerosis he returned to his first love, farming. Ron loved the land and the outdoors and with the assistance of his family, farmed in the Balzac area until he just recently retired. Ron was a dedicated father and friend and his memory will be forever cherished Ron is survived by his loving partner Jana; three sons, Ron (Lynn), Patrick (Karen), Martin (Elly); two daughters, Elizabeth and Geradine (Stan Poulsen); ten grandchildren; and two sisters, Elisabeth Fox of Regina, SK and Sally Martin of Qualicum Beach, BC; as well as many other family members and friends.
