Obituary of Robert Barclay Drummond

Robert Drummond of Calgary passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Robert was born on March 3, 1918 in Craik, Saskatchewan. He married Alice Cady of Carberry, MB on November 16, 1940. Soon after he served his country overseas from 1940 to 1945. Upon his return to Canada, Robert worked for many years with Anglo Canadian Oils in Brandon, MB. They came to Calgary in 1974 where he worked for the Canadian Army Corp as a Commissionaire receiving a long service medal in 1991. Robert enjoyed to be in the company of his friends, he loved to play pool and shuffle board and engage in good discussions of world events. Robert is survived by his loving daughter Elaine (Joe) Hillmann of Calgary; son Wayne Drummond (Ann Sutherley) of St. Albert, AB; grandchildren, Heather(Robin) of Toronto, Ont., Kerrilyn (Jason) of Edmonton, AB., Tamara Lee (Cory) of Calgary, AB., Trevor Tyson of Cochrane, AB.; brother Jack Drummond (Charolotte) of Regina; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Alice in 1989; brother Charlie; and sister Margaret.
