Obituary
Obituary of Arthur Mahon Moore
It is with great sadness that we announce Arthur Moore (VE6AP)
joined the ‘Silent keys’ on Monday, April 6, 2009.
A native Calgarian, Art served proudly in the RCAF during WWII. A fascination with electronics led him to a lifelong association with C.A.R.A., a pursuit he enjoyed. Devoted to family, Art built his home on the lot next door to his parents so he could look after them, while raising his family at the same time. Art retired from the Federal Government in 1980 and in 1981 he married Mary Heinen. Together they spent twenty five plus years of retirement, dancing, gardening, travelling and spending time with family. Although in his last few years Art suffered from dementia, he never lost his sense of wit and humour.
“Death cannot divide us, nor time and space steal you away;
as long as your memory burns in our hearts you live on”
Art is survived by wife Mary; children, Sharon Moore (David Swartzenberger), Kathy Fyfe (Derek) James Moore, Barry Moore; stepchildren, Paul Heinen, Doug Heinen and Joanne Heinen; grandchildren, Catherine, Erin, Ian, and Pat; as well as six great-grandboys.
