Obituary of Croft Gerald McCrae
Croft Gerald McCrae beloved husband of Irene of Calgary passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the age of 66 years. Croft was born June 2, 1942 in Vancouver, BC. He served his country with the Royal Canadian Navy for 5 years, before embarking on his career as a court reporter for over 30 years. Croft was a member of the Kensington Royal Canadian Legion Branch 264. He enjoyed nature and many outdoor activities. Croft loved to go skiing and camping with his family, and especially to travel. Besides his loving wife Irene, Croft is survived by his mother, Marjorie MacLeod; daughters Susan, and Janet (Karl); sons Larry (Janice), Colin (Lorna), Kevin (Shannon) and Shaun (Barb); nine grandchildren, Trae, Kayley, Jordan, Madison, Spencer, Keaton, Colton, Joey and Alexis; one sister, Brenda (Bruce) Metcalfe; as well as several nieces and nephews. Croft was predeceased by his father, Ross J. in 1970. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
