Obituary of Dorene Sharon SHAW-BINGLEY

March 19, 1947 – Drumheller, Alberta August 30, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Dorene beloved wife of Barry James “Jim” Bingley of Airdrie, AB passed away on August 30, 2018 at the age of 71 years. Dorene was born in Drumheller and raised in Calgary. She raised two children while in Calgary and moved to Airdrie which she called home for over 25 years. While in Airdrie she volunteered her time and service to the Airdrie Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and formed many lasting friendships. She followed the footsteps of her mother and always opened her home and heart to family and friends. Besides her loving husband, Jim, Dorene is survived by her son Sheldon Smith; daughter Sheila Goodwin (Ken Jones); her grandchildren Kyla Smith and Jacqueline Goodwin; brother Robert Shaw Jr.; and stepsister Dorothy Atkinson. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dorene was predeceased by her parents Robert Shaw and Margaret Shaw; sister Betty Nikish; brother Gerald “Jerry” Shaw; and stepsister Dorene Summers. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY () on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with the reception to follow Royal Canadian Legion Branch 288, ().
