Obituary of Alice Irene Holt

Alice Irene Holt of Calgary passed away on April 1, 2009 at the age of 93 years. After 93 years of living life to the fullest, Irene enjoyed over 50 years of marriage to her soul mate Vincent, who predeceased her in 1988. Irene leaves to mourn her loss four sons, Michael, David (Adrie), Peter(Terry), Bruce; twin daughters, Susan(Rob) and Barbara(Bob). She was devoted to her ten grandchildren and three great granddaughters, who kept her young in spirit. Irene was the heart of every family event and those memories are joyful and everlasting. Irene is remembered for her unconditional love for her family, sweet nature, and competitive Scrabble. She will be sorely missed especially by her dear sister, Evelyn Hepburn, and best friend, Ruby Fawcett. A Celebration of Irene’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
