Robert Watt

Obituary of Robert Duncan Watt

Robert (Bob) Duncan Watt passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the age of 71 years. Born in Moncton, NB, Robert was a graduate of both the Rothesay Collegiate School and the University of New Brunswick. His engineering career was highlighted with projects in Pickering, Point Lepreau and Calgary. Our father had a kind and gentle spirit. He enjoyed cooking, learning and sharing his knowledge and stories in a quietly humorous way. We loved our father and will tremendously miss his unique demeanour and playful nature. He volunteered by canvassing for the Canadian Cancer Society and we ask that any memorial tributes be made to this charity. Robert is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Tammy Watt of Calgary, and Andrew and Lori Watt; grandchildren, Katie and Nolan, all of Fairmont Hot Springs, BC; sister-in-law Carole Watt of Oak Haven, NB; seven nephews; three nieces; and many good friends who called him Bob or Duncan. Robert was predeceased by his parents Clyde and Margaret Watt of Rothesay; only brother John Watt of Oak Haven; and ex-wife Shirley Watt (nee Lawton) of Calgary.
