Obituary of Pamela Clapperton

Pamela Clapperton beloved wife of Robert Clapperton of Cochrane, AB passed away on March 24, 2009 at the age of 53 years. Pam was born on January 25, 1956 in Carlisle, England, she married Robert on the 28th of June, 1980 and their daughter was on born on the day of their ninth wedding anniversary in 1989. In 1993, with her family, Pam came to Canada at the age of 37 years. Pam worked as a social worker in England for 21 years and then for the Vocational Rehabilitation and Research Institute (VRRI) in Canada, from 1993 until 2009. She spent her life looking after and caring for people who were less fortunate than herself, giving them the best quality of life she could. Pam finally succumbed to her illness after a lengthy time of pain and suffering. She went peacefully in her sleep… “finally the hurting is over”. Besides her loving husband Robert Clapperton, Pam is survived by her daughter Helen Clapperton; parents, Isa and James Porter; sister Angela and all of her family and friends, both in England and Canada. A Celebration of Pam’s Life will be held at Bow Valley Baptist Church (West Aarsby Road, Cochrane, AB) on Tuesday, March 31 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
