Obituary of Anna Catherine Endom

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Anna Catherine Endom, at the Cedars Villa nursing home on March 23, 2009, at the age of 95 years. Anna Catherine was born in Dallas, Texas on January 10, 1914. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in Dallas in 1931, where she was historian of her senior class. Anna Catherine attended the Southern Methodist University’s music school and Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following her studies, she taught piano and accompanied musicians at various performances. She married Pat Endom in 1941. They resided in Dallas, Texas until 1952, when Pat was transferred to Calgary. Anna Catherine’s devotion to her family and church were first in her life. She was an active member of both the Catholic Women’s League and the Secular Franciscan Order for over forty years. She will always remain an inspiration to us of love, faith, and courage. She will be sadly missed by her children, Mary Catherine Farinholt, Big Canoe, Georgia, Patricia Coulson, Fayetteville, Georgia, Daniel C. Endom Jr., Jeanne Smith, and John M. Endom all of Calgary. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Charles (Pat) Endom in 1992. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
