Obituary of Franklin Robinson MacKenzie

Franklin Robinson MacKenzie beloved husband of Marg of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Frank was born and raised in Campbelton, NB and graduated from Mount Allison University and Nova Scotia Technical College with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He spent most of his working career in Alberta in the oil and gas industry. Frank especially loved the mountains and he and his wife Marg spent a great deal of time hiking and skiing in them. He was a lifetime member of the Norseman Ski Club and was active in the Prairie Mountaineers Hiking Club. In later years, he and Marg travelled extensively to many parts of the world and enjoyed their retirement together. In addition to his loving wife, Marg, Frank is also survived by three sons, Scott (Karen) of CornerBrook, NL, Ken (Renee) of Calgary, and Bruce (Jay) of Vancouver, BC; and one sister, Marion (Lloyd) Hinton of Aurora, ON. Frank was very proud of his three grandchildren, Brian, Douglas and Anna MacKenzie, and he particularly enjoyed getting together with them during the summer in Nova Scotia.
