Obituary of Violet May Irene Moyes

Violet May “Irene” Moyes of Calgary passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 after a brave two-year battle with cancer, at the age of 85 years. Irene was a veteran of the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) serving for three years. She was an active member of the Bowness Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 238. Irene is survived by her son Robert and her beloved Richard. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
