Obituary of Boyd Thomas Boone

Boyd “Thomas” Boone of Calgary passed away at his home, early Saturday morning, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Tom leaves to mourn his spouse of twenty-eight years, Lila Campbell; his two children, Tom Jr. (Jillian) and Kathy, both of Nova Scotia; his four step-children, Jim (Cindy), Jamie (Steve), Genevieve, and Angelita; and three step-grandchildren, Nikki, Chantelle and Garnet. He also leaves behind seven brothers and sisters, Sylvia Bugden, Rita (Terry) Poulton and Ernest (Linda), all of Newfoundland, Bill (Jean) of St. Albert, Andrew (Teri) of Calgary, Shirley Grandy of Fort McMurray, and June (Stephen) Cooper of Calgary. Predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Julia Boone of Bareneed, Newfoundland. Tom’s easygoing and fun-loving nature resulted in a multitude of friends that will also feel his loss. Among these are his close friends at Schanks and Stampede Park. A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
