Obituary of Arthur Dennis Knights
Arthur Dennis Knights, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the age of 78 years.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Gwen (nee Draper) of fifty six years; his three daughters and son, Barbara, Taylor, Margaret (Rodney) Pocock, Sandra (Scott) Risebrough, Richard (Christine) Knights; brother, Graydon (Beryl) Knights; sister-in-law, Marjorie Knights; all the Draper brothers and sisters-in-laws, as well as many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren; Lauren, Evan, Adam, Lindsay, Mark, Cole, Kelly, and Kyle will forever cherish the memories of their Papa.
Dennis was born October 10, 1930 in Pembroke Ontario, was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Nina Knights and brother, Glen. He was proud of his 35 year Marketing and Distribution career with Petro-Canada (British American Oil (BA) and Gulf Canada Products) that took him and his family from Ottawa, to Montreal, to Toronto and finally to Calgary. An avid curler and golfer, Dennis was able to participate in these sports until last year. Dennis truly valued all the friendships he made during his life. He endured his final months with grace and dignity. Gwen, Barbara, Margaret, Sandra and Richard wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to his caregivers and the staff at the Foothills Hospital.
