Obituary of Virginia Rine Wilson
Virginia Rine Wilson, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2009 in Scottsdale, Arizona, after a short illness at the age of 83 years.
Virginia graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology with a specialty in Micropaleontology. She moved to Calgary in 1955 to allow her husband to pursue his career in the Petroleum Industry. She was active in community related programs, particularly through her involvement with the Junior League of Calgary, where she served as President in the 60s. Her husband and great love of her life, John H. Wilson, died at a young age in 1970. She never remarried.
Virginia is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Linda Wilson, Todd Wilson and Christine Pezarro; her grandchildren Charlie, Shannon, Jennifer, Tyler, Luke and Sean; as well as six great grandchildren Torin, Landon, Kayleigh, Paige, Ghavin and Audrey and her sister Kathleen Jencek. She cared deeply about her family and will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Virginia’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
