Obituary of Sheilesh Davé

With profound sadness we announce Sheilesh has passed on to another place. He left us suddenly on Saturday, March 7, 2009 as a result of a tragic ski accident in Golden, British Columbia. He was born in London, England, and was raised in Calgary. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta in 1992, and from the Faculty of Periodontics at Boston University in 2004. Sheilesh leaves behind his beloved wife Chaitali; his three month old daughter; and his four year old son. He also leaves behind his loving parents, Dr. Amritlal Davé and Mrs. Sushila Davé; and his sister, Sandhya Kohli. He also leaves behind two brother-in-laws, Raman Kohli and Chetan Shah; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Shah; two nieces and a nephew, all of whom loved him very much. Sheilesh had a large extended family and a significant network of friends, all of whom will feel his absence greatly. All his friends, his family, his staff at his periodontic practice shall deeply miss him. We will remember him as a loving and wonderful father and husband, the best brother, the best son, brother-in-law, and son-in-law. He was a special person. He was a lover of the outdoors, he loved all kinds of music, and he craved knowledge always; and he tried to include his son in all the things Sheilesh enjoyed doing. He was an outstanding periodontist, a well-respected member of the dental society and a leader in the field of periodontics. We shall all miss his great sense of humour and his infectious and unforgettable smile.
