Obituary of Anneliese Braun

Anneliese, beloved wife of Alex of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Anneliese was born in St Peter, Germany and courageously came to Canada as a young woman to marry Alex, her husband of forty-five years. Anneliese was a proud member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church and was part of the church choir. She will always be remembered for her dedication to her family and her strong Catholic faith in life and illness. Besides her loving husband, Anneliese is also survived by her son, Wayne Braun; daughters Lorraine and her husband Bill Brown, and Melinda and her husband Mike Knowles; grandchildren, Alyssa, Angela, Patricia, Kimberly, and David; sisters, Hedi Spiegelhalter and Erika Rohrer; brothers, Lothar Wehrle, Josef Wehrle, Reinhold Wehrle, and Helmut Wehrle all of Germany. Anneliese was predeceased by her brother Herbert Wehrle and her parents. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
