Obituary of Grace Colquhoun
Grace Colquhoun passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the age of 86 years.
Grace was born near Aultsville ON and was raised by her father, a local cheese master, and older siblings. She earned her teaching certificate at Mille Roche ON., and taught primary school for over thirty years in Morrisburg, Bancroft, and Kingston, ON. Grace celebrated forty-nine years of married bliss with her husband Raymond (AKA Peter). Together, they spent many happy summers together camping at Loughborough Lake and Hay Bay with friends and family. Grace’s love for her family brought her out west in 2003. It was here that she realized her love for our blue Alberta skies and the always changing clouds. Here in Calgary, she was able to spend lots of time with her family sharing her unique sense of humour. Grace always had a kind word for everyone and she was known for her positive outlook on life. In her spare time, she enjoyed working on her word puzzle books, which were always near by.
Grace is survived by her children, David (Daphne) Colquhoun, Jim (Valerie) Colquhoun, and Judy (Gary) Crewe; grandchildren, Brian Raymond Colquhoun, Sarah Grace Crewe, Erin Marie Colquhoun, Jill Elizabeth Colquhoun, and Janet Lynn Colquhoun.
