Obituary of Anna Oliverio

Anna Oliverio of Calgary passed away peacefully at Extendicare Hillcrest, on March 1, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Anna was born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Cosenza, Italy on April 27, 1923. In 1956, Anna immigrated with son, Tony to join her husband for a better life in Canada. After spending a few years in Fernie, BC, they relocated with the help of her brother-in-law, Antonio Oliverio and settled in Calgary. Anna was a fantastic cook, meals were delicious and plentiful. She loved music; everything from old to new. Anna was kind and caring, gave generously but never expected anything in return. Spending time with her children and grandkids was most enjoyable. She’ll remain in our hearts forever. Anna is survived by her loving children, Tony (Sara), Terry (Mark), Connie (Kenn), Angie (Glen); grandchildren, Johnny and John, as well as numerous cherished relatives. She was predeceased by her husband, Giovanni (John) in 2004; her parents, Gessipi and Costanza; brother, Giovanni and sister, Angela.
