Obituary of Judith Brodie Ferguson

Judith Ferguson, loving and generous mother, sister, wife and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2009 surrounded by her children at the Foothills Medical Centre. Judy was born in Montreal, QC and moved west with her husband Fergie and their children in the early 70’s. She embraced the West involving herself in the Samaritan Club and the church, as well as enjoying tennis, golf and bridge. Her warmth and selflessness inspired all who knew her and she was always ready with words of encouragement and a positive attitude. She carried that positivism right to the end of her battle with cancer. Judy will be greatly missed by her three children David (Jen), Alec (Wendy), and Andrea (Andrew); her grandchildren Johanna, Tessa, Eliza, Bridget, Nigel and Winston; her sisters Nancy, Audrey (Alan) and Mary (Don). The family would like to thank the staff of Unit 32 at the Foothills Medical Centre for their compassionate and genuine care. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church (924 Heritage Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 1p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
